La Collezione Battuto
Craftsmen from the Friuli region of Italy played a key role in rediscovering and reinventing the terrazzo trade. Pebbles of various colors from nearby rivers were incorporated into their first “battuto” mixes and were highly sought after in Venice, France, and eventually all of Europe and The United States. Terrazzo became known as one of the most elite and desired trades in the construction industry due to the meticulous skill and unparalleled quality of their “battuto venezia”. La Collezione Battuto pays homage to these first Friuli artisans. Venetian aggregates, larger in diameter than the standard size, offer a refreshing take on an antique style of flooring that works well in today’s interiors, be it eclectic, minimalist, rustic or contemporary. Ciò che è vecchio è di nuovo nuovo!
